In All Ways We Love

In All Ways We Love is a photo series that is inspired by different forms of love. All integrated with a song that inspired the photo series as well.  Focusing on the different forms of love, such as confusing situationships, self love, and love in friendships.

Typeface Creation 

I wanted to design a typeface that resembled someone writing these feelings in a diary. So I created my own typeface and combined my photography with my analog writing style. To give my work the ability to have more of an emotional connection with the viewer.

What Are We 

What Are We? Inspired by the song "What Are We" by Lizzy McAlpine, I wanted this piece to shine a light on the complicated feelings of a relationship with no label or commitment. How everyone dreams of being loved by someone, but sometimes gives their heart to someone they’re not sure they fully want.    
I captured photos of my friends who are in relationships, and then captured the feelings that I felt when I was in this circumstance.  Capturing images of my friends with brighter tones like sunsets and the sun, and then within my own photos, staying more within the dark and blue tones that represent the uncertainty.

I Chose Myself 

I Chose Myself. Inspired by the song Baby Steps by Olivia Dean, this piece was to talk about the importance of self-love. One of the most important kinda of love. For one must love themselves before they can love others.   
I wanted this collection to be in the blue-and-white color palette. Healing, represented by the blue, and learning to love yourself, represented by the white, were both used to show growth from the hurt. I also wanted these photos to be photos of myself, as this is a topic that I closely relate to.  As well as utilizing items that represent girlhood, such as makeup, flowers, and self-care activities.

We Found Home

We Found Home. Inspired by Birds Of A Feather by Billie Eilish, this was to highlight love found in friendships. Friendships are so important, and surrounding yourself with people who love and support you allows you to grow in yourself. As well as learn to love others as they love you. 
I wanted this collection to be an array of color. Including photos from a wide range of angles and colors. As well as having more faceless photos, so viewers can see their own friends through this zine.
